Following the v-successful run of shows last month and her gritty electronic single ‘Private’, Vera Blue is showing zero signs of slowing down and has announced a huge 15-date national tour across July through to September – playing some of her biggest bandrooms to date.
The new slew of shows coincide with the release of Blue’s anthemic new tune ‘Mended’ – a delicate ballad that powers and soars into new territories for the flawless vocalist.
“This song was written last year on my very first trip to the US. I will never forget the day I spent with the fellas Thom, Andy and Jackson creating this special little beast. We wrote it in a couple of hours, recorded a vocal and acoustic organically like we always do and then built the production around that,” Blue explains via FB.
“At first it was a challenge, had Andy happily experimenting for hours, but he always captures the rawness and emotion of the lyrics in the way the song is produced and we’d never heard or felt anything like it. When we got a rough demo late that night we sat in the little studio overlooking the ocean and listened to it. There were tears and goosebumps and that’s when we new this song was going to be special.”
