Can Confirm, TLC Are Touring Australia And NZ This November

Shiiiiiit. The craziest, sexiest, coolest news today is word that, TLC, one of the most influential female hip-hop and R&B acts of all time, are touring Australia and New Zealand this November.

It was in 1991, when the fierce trio united; Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and we’ve spent the last 25 years telling friends to never chase waterfalls or accept a scrub holla’ing from the passenger side seat. They were lessons of a generation.

It was in 1994 TLC released CrazySexyCool, an absolute banger of a record, which sold over 11 million copies in America alone and featured iconic anthems including, ‘Waterfalls’, ‘If I Was Your Girlfriend’ (penned by the late icon Prince) and ‘Creep’.

The group’s third record, FanMail, then followed-up with monsters tunes including, No Scrubs’ and ‘Unpretty’.

Tragically in 2002, Lopes was killed in a car accident while spending time in Honduras. Refusing to call it quits in honour of their fallen sister, T-Boz and Chilli have since continued to tour worldwide.

Earlier this year, TLC announced a new album for 2016, their first in over a decade. Very little is known about the album, with the only public statement from the ladies reading:

“This album, our final album, is dedicated to all of you that have stuck with us, always challenging us to do our best. And of course, it’s for the new fans too! We just want to put out great music that touches everyone. That’s it.”

Joining TLC in Adelaide and Auckland will be fellow ‘90s R&B legend Montell Jordan, responsible for ‘This Is How We Do It’, which dropped just over 20 years ago now.

It’s going to be a night of absolute classix, b2b, with a couple of sexy-interludes.
