“Finally it’s here! No one can accuse us of rushing things. We’re definitely slow burners when it comes to writing albums so we’re beyond excited to share these new songs with you. Dougy’s melodies are uplifting and the music has grit and attitude. It’s an album filled with hope, raw energy and a passion that reminds us of our early days in the band.”
‘Fall Together’ is pinned to be the next festival anthem and we’re not ones to disagree. Dougy’s soaring vocals take this track to new levels, similar to their certified tune ‘Sweet Disposition’ from 2009.
Following the release of brand new music today, The Temper Trap have confirmed they’re back and they’ve got a third record to prove it. Thick As Thieves the will be released worldwide, June 10, which includes the previously dropped (and very repeated) titled track and ‘Fall Together’.
For the first time ever, the new album sees The Temper Trap work with outside songwriters and some highly acclaimed collaborators including Justin Parker (Lana Del Rey, Sia, Bat For Lashes) for ‘Fall Together’, and album work with Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Deerhunter) and Malay, co-writer & producer of Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange.
The boys will be home in May to play three (officially) sold out homecoming shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. For your chance to head along, we do have one double pass for you and a mate, don’t snooze, there’s not long to enter. June 10 can’t come quick enough.
