In less than six hours, Violent Soho fans went ham and sold out two shows at Brisbane’s The Tivoli, two Melbourne shows at The Forum and an Enmore Theatre show in Sydney for the impending WACO Tour. It’s pure destruction before it’s even kicked-off.
The band have now announced they will deliver third shows at The Tivoli on Tuesday 10 May, The Forum on Monday 16 May and a second show for Sydney fans on Thursday 26 May at The Enmore. Tickets will go on sale 9am local time on Tuesday 8 March. Good friends DZ Deathrays and Dune Rats are still on board.
Over the weekend, it came to the band’s attention that scalpers were completely killing their vibe, advertising re-sale tickets for over $200, in which they kindly requested them to “Fuck Off”.
“When these selfish pricks go online at 9am and buy tickets just to resell them later at an inflated price, preventing real fans from being able to get tickets, it’s not only extremely offensive to us it devalues everything we as a band are trying to do,” – Soho. Luckily for us, more shows have been announced and there’s more Soho to go around.
The boys from Mansfield have also revealed an epic album trailer for WACO which is out Friday 18 March (pre-order here). Filmed at ‘The Shed’ studio in Brisbane, where WACO was recorded, the trailer features a snippet of an unreleased album track as well as chats between the band about the forthcoming record. The hype is real.
