UPDATE: Ryan Adams has added an extra show to the Australian leg of his tour this May, happening in the intimate bandroom of Byron Bay’s Northern Hotel, Wednesday, 24 May. Tickets on sale Monday, 27 March at 10am island time.
The tour will kick-off in in Auckland, before hitting Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney along with folk-rock buzz band, Middle Kids in support (Aus shows only).
Having drip-fed tunes including ‘Do You Still Love Me?’, ‘To Be Without You‘ and ‘Doomsday‘, the self-written, recorded and produced album is described as a direct transmission from the singer-songwriter’s psyche and soul. The 12-track record will be a sonic memoir of a two-year vortex, which included world tours, covering and releasing an entire Taylor Swift album, Grammy-nominations (not wins) and splitting with wife Mandy Moore. Understandably, Prisoner virtually wrote itself. When performed live, it promises to be a velvety mixed bag of fiery-folk/rock, punching with lyrics of heartache and despair.
Frontier member pre-sale begins Tuesday, 14 February at 2pm AEDT. General public goes on sale Thursday, 16 February at 11am AEDT.
You can pre-order Prisoner here.
