Rolling Blackouts Sign to Ivy League, Drop ‘Wide Eyes’ Single

Rolling Blackouts have signed to Ivy League Records, joining a roster that includes The Rubens, Bad//Dreems, Alpine, Palms and more.

The news coincides with the release of the Melbourne band’s latest single, ‘Wide Eyes’, which you can stream above. The follow-up to their debut single ‘Clean Slate’, which scored plenty of triple j and community radio love, it’s another taste of their forthcoming Talk Tight EP, released October 23 but available for pre-order on iTunes from today.

Singer/guitarist Fran Keaney says of the track: “It’s a cross-country love song – about getting out of town, being somewhere else, fast. We recorded it late summer, live, at a place on Sydney Road: gateway to the Hume.”

Rolling Blackouts have been building a solid following in their hometown on the back of their buzzed-about live shows – you can catch ’em supporting The Preatures on the Victorian leg of their Cruel tour next week and opening for Bully on their East Coast tour in December.
