Phoenix Wana Share The Romance So They’ve Locked In Headline Aussie Shows

French-rock troupe Phoenix have confirmed they will perform two headline Australian shows in February/March next year – sharing their newest (and most romantic) album Ti Amo live for the first time.

The shows follow the announcement of their long-awaited return to headline at Sydney City Limits on February 24, alongside Vance Joy and Bad//Dreems.

In June this year, it had marked four years since the band released their acclaimed album Bankrupt! and after three years of dedicated work, 18 years in total and five albums, Phoenix delivered Ti Amoan album that served as an emotional love letter to Italy. Like most recipes in life, the band wanted to achieve the perfect blend of alt-pop-rcok, explained Deck d’Arcy (bass, keyboardist). “For us, the secret to mix the joyful melodies, and something that is bittersweet in its nostalgia, we managed to create something that’s mixed emotions of happiness with a touch of sadness.”

Coming in hawt from their headline shows around the world and appearance at Glastonbury, Phoenix’s first headline Aussie shows in four years. Tickets on sale Tuesday, 21 November at 10am from here.
