Slick NYC artist snny has dropped an irresistibly groovy new track with just enough ache to get you hooked.
‘Let’s Not Pretend‘ does what the Boston-raised artist does best, combining an undefinable mix of soul, RnB, hip-hop and pop to get you moving and contemplating at the same time. The bass line is a thick chunk of funk, perfectly underscoring crisp drums and dreamy ’80s synths as snny’s chill voice croons avoided truths and French sentiments. The track might even be a bit heartbreaking if we weren’t so caught in the groove.
Following on from his debut EP Learning To Swim, ‘Let’s Not Pretend’ is a fascinating glimpse at what the rising artist might be up to next.
