Following their extremely magical sold out launch shows in Melbourne and Sydney last week, Melbourne 6-piece-soul outfit Saskwatch have shared a brand new song ahead of their v-anticipated fourth studio album Manual Override – out Friday, 4 August.
‘Gemini’ is a percussive-pop track that “is a song about being caught in the middle,” says guitarist/keyboardist Liam McGorry. “Between inner thoughts and an outer reality, two personalities in one body, between fate and intervention.” However, there’s no mixed feelings in the love for this new track that dips and soars with the help of sharp, twinkling keys and lead singer Nkechi’s honey dipped vocals.
The song follows previously shared tracks ‘Then There’s You’ and ‘December Nights‘ – both hypnotic glimpses into the new album, as psychedelic melodies chime over a laid-back beat and warm bass tones. Manual Override is self-produced and mixed alongside engineer and friend Callum John Barter at Newmarket Studios. Counting down the weeks.
