DMA’S have today released ‘Break Me‘, the fourth single to drop from v awaited sophomore LP For Now. Giving fans one last taste of the album before its release next Friday, 27 April, the band have also released a behind the scenes peek into the recording process, with an accompanying clip of the band in the studio.
Following the release of singles ‘Dawning‘, ‘In The Air‘ and the album’s title track ‘For Now‘, ‘Break Me’ is a classic rock song. High energy and packed with fuzzy, distorted guitar hooks, the track is stirring and defiant, Tommy O’Dell’s soaring vocals proclaiming, “you won’t break us”. ‘Break Me’ is further proof of the band’s versatility, which is clearly evident even in this small selection of tracks – from the ballad-esque, open hearted vibes of ‘In the Air’ to the sweetly layered harmonies of ‘Dawning’.
With the help of The Preset’s Kim Moyes on production, For Now is shaping up to be a slick, polished release, further testament to the band’s uncanny ability to churn out immediate, well written tunes.
