Bad//Dreems have dropped a hectic video for new single ‘Bogan Pride’.
The song, taken from the band’s acclaimed debut album Dogs at Bay, takes aim at the ugliness of summer dance festival culture, the rise of Australian nationalism and late-night inner-city violence.
“It’s about the shirtless ‘roid boys, Southern Cross tatts, cheap speed and pingers, monoculture, ultraviolence, rage, flesh, the Cronulla riots, and the unrequited homo-eroticism that underpins it all,” explains guitarist Alex Cameron.
The Adelaide four-piece have just wrapped up a national tour to launch Dogs at Bay, and recently dropped by triple j with The Preatures’ Isabella Manfredi to unleash a killer version of the Weeknd’s ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ for Like a Version.
