New York City rapper and poetic master Wiki is returning to Australia for two special headline shows this summer.
It’s been three years since we’ve seen Wiki – who was last here with his former rap outfit Ratking for slots at Laneway Festival and headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney. Following Ratking’s split in 2016, Wiki has established himself as a solo force, collaborating with the likes of King Krule, Princess Nokia and A$AP Ferg, and in December 2015 put out his debut solo album Lil Me.
In August of this year, Wiki dropped his second solo album No Mountains in Manhattan – an authentically gritty shout out to the New York rap scene featuring collaborations with Earl Sweatshirt, Kaytranada and Ghostface Killa, which is considered Wiki’s most cohesive and diverse body of work to date.
Hitting up Sydney’s The Lansdowne and Melbourne’s The Toff – these are going to be a couple of huge gigs showcasing such a prodigious rapper in a couple of v-intimate venues.
Tickets are on sale now to catch Wiki’s debut solo Australian visit this January/February.
