As promised back in February, Midnight Oil will kick off “The Great Circle 2017″ world tour with a ‘back-to-basics’ pub gig in Sydney. The venue: Selina’s at Coogee Bay Hotel (the beachside bandroom where the band cut its teeth in the very early 1980’s). The date: Thursday, 13 April.
Both of Midnight Oil’s November concerts at The Domain are currently sold out, so demand will be extreme. Therefore, tickets will be sold via a ballot system to make the process as fair as possible, and avoid crumby scalpers.
If you’re interested, you first have to register your interest here: http://frntr.co/
You can only register for the ballot once – multiple entries will be disqualified. Successful applicants will then be selected by a completely random electronic process so every entrant has an equal chance of success.
Ticketek will email all successful applicants on Tuesday, 4 April with instructions on how to purchase within the nominated sales period. All tickets will be General Admission and will cost $99.90 including GST and booking fees.
Sales will then open for successful applicants only on Tuesday, 4 April 4 at 12noon AEST and close on Friday, 7 April at 12noon AEST.
Before registering, make sure you read this carefully. FYI Midnight Oil and Frontier Touring STRONGLY warn fans NOT to buy tickets for this gig by any means other than those described above. There will be no physical tickets whatsoever for this show so any websites claiming to have “Selina’s tickets” prior to the day of show cannot possibly be telling the truth.
