Mercury Rev have added two new dates to their upcoming Australian tour, with a Sydney show and an appearance at new festival Fairgrounds now included in their itinerary.
Fairgrounds is the newest edition to Australia’s ever growing music festival circuit, and is set to blow up the shores of the NSW southern coast in early December. The line-up is a mixed-bag of folk, soul and indie-rock and includes Father John Misty, RATATAT, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and more on its bill.
Mercury Rev announced their long-overdue return with shows in Melbourne and Brisbane, and now with the addition of Fairgrounds the band will also heat up Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory. They’ll be playing a catalogue of classics as well as ripping through a bunch of new music, with the support of DJ James Dela Cruz (The Avalanches) for their Melbourne and Sydney leg while Primitive Motion will join them in Brisbane.
