Next March will see Brooklyn singer/songwriter, Margaret Glaspy, make her hugely-anticipated Australian debut, with a handful of intimate headline shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The news coincides with her already announced appearance at Golden Plains festival and a special slot alongside Martha Wainwright at the Melbourne Zoo Twilights series in March.
The love for Glaspy follows the release of the twenty-seven-year-old’s self-produced, fiercely real, raw and repeated debut record Emotions and Math.
Featuring a catalogue of refreshingly honest, guitar-driven pop songs, Emotions and Math is not simply just the name of Margaret Glaspy’s debut album, rather an expression that drills right to the heart of the singer/songwriter’s proper introduction, a mission statement both artistic and personal.
A profound artist not to be missed when she travels thru Brisbane’s The Foundry on Saturday, March 4, Sydney’s Newtown Social Club on Monday, March 6 and Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club on Wednesday March 8. All ticket info can be found here.
