Copresents is the newest cultural event to hit Melbourne, uniting the best in local dance music with tasty AF street eats, all in the name of charity.
Hosted in the RMIT Alumni Courtyard/Old Melbourne Gaol, Saturday November 19, Copresents is an RMIT student-run initiative with tickets shifting at just $5 with 100% of all proceeds donated directly to The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
The line-up is held-down via Melbourne party-collective and landlord’s-nightmare, Northeast Party House, who’ve recently unleashed their sophomore record and nudged all new dance territories. Spiritually, Total Giovanni DJs will be there to ensure zero d-floor is unoccupied, physically, three members of the band Frankie Topaz, Spike Punch and Shattered Guru will provide the sexually-charged energy and vibe-longevity. LOSSLESS a collaboration between Melbourne artists Oscar Key Sung and HTMLflowers, have been invited, purely because of their ability to create a sound that winds simultaneously through RnB’s golden past and pop’s near future. Melbourne’s queen of industrial beats and self-proclaimed record hoarder, Nite Fleit will also be in support, and there’s one more heavyweight international DJ and producer yet to be announced.
The event aims to provide invaluable work experience and practice for the RMIT students through exposure with major industry partners such as Mushroom Group (event management / promotions), Niika (creative design), Tokyo Tina + Hanoi Hannah (food) and Nique (branding and merchandising).
Tokyo Tina and Hanoi Hannah will be provide the delicious sustenance alongside Two Birds, who’ll trump with their much hyped Taco Beer.
