Ian Moss Celebrates Classic Album

Ian Moss’ Six Strings album has been re-released to celebrate its tenth anniversary, with a whopping 29-date solo tour to follow next year.

The acoustic Six Strings – which has just been certified gold for sales of 35,000 – was recorded at Sydney’s Sandringham Hotel, and saw the Oz guitar legend revisiting some of his biggest hits (‘Tucker’s Daughter’, ‘Bow River’, ‘Telephone Booth’) along some choice covers (‘Purple Haze’, ‘Green River’).

The repackage will feature a bunch of songs from the recording sessions not on the original album, including ‘Jealous Guy’ (originally by John Lennon), ‘Shape I’m In’, ‘Piccolo Bar’, ‘Tempted’ (originally by Squeeze) and ‘Such A Beautiful Thing’, plus alternative versions of ‘Catfish Blues’ and ‘My Baby’.

Kicking off in Melbourne in February, the Six Strings Classic tour will take in capital city and regional shows across Victoria, ACT, New South Wales, Western Australia and South Australia – get the full dates here.
