Introducing Kyle Lionhart

From busking on the beaches of Byron Bay to tallying close to one million Spotify plays – 2017 is going to be the year that everyone discovers Kyle Lionhart.

The coastal singer-songwriter is the newest artist to sign to seminal local label Ivy League Records, joining legends The Rubens, Bad//Dreems, Tiny Little Houses and I Know Leopard. Along with the signing, Lionhart has revealed brand new music, following the independent release of his debut EP Keep In Mind in mid-2015, in which lead single ‘Sleep By Rivers‘ went yuge on Spotify.

Call Back Home’ delivers a similarly infectious mixture of neo-folk and indie-soul. Produced by John Castle (Vance Joy), the single is a soaring acoustic ballad about self-reflection and reckless abandonment.

“It’s about avoiding that darker side of yourself, the side of ourselves that we consistently distract and sedate only for it to explode at the worst possible moments,” explains Lionhart. Directed by the talented Lilli Waters, the accompanying video also creates a stirring visual extension to the lyrical narrative.

To celebrate the release of ‘Call Back Home’, Lionhart will hit the road nationally throughout March and April, sharing his new music from the beach to the bandroom. All tour dates and info can be found here. Serious vibes to hear more from such an exciting new voice, welcome to the fam!
