Twenty-sixteen could be the year of Dro Carey. First, an AM spot on the Splendour In The Grass line-up (we assume AM), second, he dropped that epic dance track ‘Queensberry Rules’ feat. Kučka, which is getting absolutely flogged (for good reason), then there was that acclaimed Boiler Room session just the other night and now, he’s hitting the road to bring the darkness of the zoo to you. Hitting up Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide, for some late night club shows.
Carey’s experimentation with pop, grime and UK garage on this EP has been gathering praise both locally and internationally; showcasing sounds which seem to be largely absent from local electronic scenes. Dark Zoo sees Carey carve out an identity as a completely unique artist. Party times ahead.
