At 12 tracks and 47 minutes long, The Creases awaited debut Tremolow will be released into the wild on Friday, 4 August. The album promises to extend and build upon the troupe’s retro indie-rock sound with some cutting-edge pop production tricks. The band enlisted Melbourne legend Malcolm Besley from Northeast Party House on production duties, who was also behind the desk for City Calm Down’s debut.
To tide us over until August, they’ve shared a fuzzy new single and groovy dancefloor tune ‘Is It Love’.
The single is jam-packed with jangly guitars and catchy group harmonies, the basslines is funky as hell and there’s hints of shiny brass. It never falls into the risk of being too poppy, because pop ain’t dirty. Big, big vibes for this debut to be delivered.
The Creases will be road testing all new tunes when they support Bad//Dreems on their national tour this month and trek the country with Two Door Cinema Club in July.
