Cold Chisel will become the first Australian act to headline Hanging Rock when they play the iconic Victorian venue on Saturday 21 November.
The show, the band’s only Victorian performance on their One Night Stand national tour, will also feature sets from The Living End, Mark Seymour & the Undertow and Stonefield.
“It’s great to be the first Australian band to headline at Hanging Rock,” said the band’s piano player and chief songwriter Don Walker. “It’s a location with incredible history and mystery. I hope we can add something to that, and I hope no one goes missing.”
The concert will see Cold Chisel join acts such as Bruce Springsteen, Leonard Cohen, Rod Stewart and the Eagles to have headlined the venue.
Cold Chisel recently announced two special shows under the banner ‘The Last Stand of Sydney’s Entertainment Centre’, to mark the closing of the famous Sydney venue (now known as the Qantas Credit Union Arena). The band promised to construct a show that referenced their legendary 1983 Last Stand tour, and all 20,000 tickets sold out within minutes. Due to the overwhelming public demand for more shows, Cold Chisel have now announced the One Night Stand tour.
