Glasgow’s hippest electo-pop trio CHVRCHES have announced their super anticipated third album Love Is Dead is incoming, with the release date of Friday, 25 May tantalisingly close.
The indie buzz outfit, responsible for sickly sweet but dark-tinged singles ‘The Mother We Share‘ and ‘Leave A Trace‘ have spent the past three years crafting a grown up collection about finding the good and the bad in the world.
Front-woman Lauren Mayberry describes the album as being about, “coming to terms with the fact that there are great things in the world and there are awful things in the world and that you can’t get one without the other.”
Having already shared lead-single ‘Get Out‘ a sizzling banger about good intentions, CHVRCHES have today shared their latest single ‘My Enemy’ featuring Matt Berninger of The National. Against Mayberry’s fragile vocals, Berninger’s voice feels gritty and in control, the two of them taking turns in building to a softly synth-laden chorus.
‘My Enemy’ definitely feels like one of the great things in the world, and we’re hyped to see where they take this greatness further when CHVRCHES’ 13-tracker Love Is Dead finally becomes available.
