CC:DISCO! Locks In Aussie Tour Sharing ‘First Light’ For The First Time

Just last month, we announced First Light: Volume 1 – the first in collaborative series of compilations by Soothsayer + CC:DISCO! – our underground dance imprint and late night Melbourne DJ and dance treasure, respectively.

Raising her game today, CC:DISCO! has announced a string off v special and one-off shows across Australia kicking-off on Friday, 9 February coinciding with the compilation’s release. Taking the shows to the next level, CC has invited her compilation mates aka the future of electronic music in Australia and New Zealand on First Light: Volume 1 to join her when she pulls up. The Possé (live), Andy Garvey, Love Deluxe (live) will help launch the tour at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory, while Chord Memory Band will hold down The Foundry in Brisbane and Jace XL & SILENTJAY along with Rings Around Saturn will close out the tour in their hometown of Melbourne at the impressive Fairfield Amphitheatre.

With only weeks until First Light: Volume 1 is shared to the world, CC has revealed another single overnight ‘Freda’s Jam‘ – a late night conjurer and ode to Freda(?) from Sydney-based producer James i.V.

“Could be the bar in Sydney? Is it a love interest? James’ dog? I don’t know. I played it a couple of times on the radio, it’s quite deep, this takes the tempo back down,” – CC:DISCO!

It follows from the debut cut of First Light, which delivered a sultry soul track called ‘Really Want That’ by Jace XL and continues the vision of Volume 1, which sees CC compile exclusive tracks from emerging and undiscovered artists across genres such as boogie, balearic, funk, disco and house – anything that you’d expect to hear in a CC:DISCO! set. The 12-track vinyl release will feature two exclusive tracks not found on the digital release, delivered on two double sided 12” inch wax pressings which are now available for pre-order. The digital offering (track list yet to be revealed), will also feature four exclusive tracks.

Basically, CC’s paranormal dancefloor abilities will become available on digital and vinyl platforms so you will never be found chin stroking – just dancing. Tickets to all shows across Australia are on sale now. Don’t be caught chin stroking.
