The Belligerents Flash Us A Glimpse Of Their Debut Album

Brisbane’s lush-psych rockers The Belligerents have released ‘Flash‘, a fresh spacey single from their upcoming debut album Science Fiction.

‘Flash’ is the third taste of The Belligerents highly anticipated album, following high-energy indie rock track ‘Before, I Am‘ and epic electronic trip ‘Caroline‘. This latest offering sees the boys delve further into their unique brand of high-energy, futuristic psychedelia. The synths are sizzling, the guitars are droning and the beat is pumping as singer Lewis Stephenson flaunts his rockstar falsetto over the shimmering conglomeration. Stephenson describes the track as being about “the incomparable feeling of contact high”, inspired by the band’s obsession with 80’s Sci-Fi.

The Belligerents have also gifted us with a masterpiece video for the pumping new track. Directed by Greta Nash, the video pays homage with over the top sets, lighting, costumes and acting. Stephenson’s dance moves come in at a close second because the real hero of the clip is the dog – who’s a very good boy. Ending on a “To Be Continued” cliffhanger, we’re on standby.

Science Fiction is scheduled for take off on September 8.
