ALTA Drop Sentimental New Track + Lock-In Headline Tour

Melbourne electronic duo ALTA have shared ‘Sentiment‘, a crackling new track, and to celebrate they’re setting off on a headline tour of Perth, Sydney, Hobart and Melbourne this November/December.

‘Sentiment’ follows on from sassy single ‘Fix It‘ and continues the duo’s magical melding of producer Julius Dowson’s intricate trip-hop beats and singer Hannah Lesser’s soulful vocals. This time around, the track offers gentler soundscapes to rise and fall between, including angelic backing vocals, and sparse synths. Lesser’s vocals are sweet and whispery too, but this doesn’t make them any less striking as she sings “I’ll never change for what you need” in a song that she describes as being about having “to cut the toxic things out of your life and know that you are enough.” The lyrical video digs even deeper into the track’s beautiful sentiment.

ALTA have spent 2017 ruling the stage at Sugar Mountain, Let Them Eat Cake, Splendour In The Grass and BIGSOUND and now they’re set to round out the year with their own powerful headline tour. Tix are g2g now.
