Everybody’s fave French rock troupe Phoenix have revealed a brand new shimmering explosion titled ‘J-Boy’.
The single is lifted from an impending collection of similar fire work tracks, Ti Amo will be the band’s sixth studio record and it’s slated for release Friday, 9 June.
Ti Amo is Phoenix’s first album since 2013’s super acclaimed Bankrupt!. Produced by the band and recorded at La Gaîté Lyrique (Paris) with the help of long-time collaborator Pierrick Devin, Ti Amo has been dubbed “the band’s most unabashedly romantic record yet.”
In their own words Ti Amo is “an album about simple pure emotions: love, desire, lust and innocence, it’s also a record about our European, Latin roots, a fantasized version of Italy: a lost paradise made of eternal Roman summers (hyper-light, hyper-clarity, pistachio gelato), juke-boxes on the beach, Monica Vitti and Marcello Mastroiani, fearless desire and Antique marble statues.”
The love, desire and lust for this new music is very real. You can pre-order Ti Amo now.
