Wolf Alice – ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’

Eclectic Londoners Wolf Alice have dropped a luscious new single ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses‘ in the lead up to their sophomore album.

As a complete contrast to their gut-punching lead single ‘Yuk Foo‘, the alt-rock quartet has released a magical melancholy track, chock full of hidden moments. Smash that repeat button and listen closely to discover expertly woven layers of melodic synths and weeping guitars, spoken word lyrics and teenage confessions.

All of the whimsical details are brought together with the soaring chorus, where singer Ellie Rowsell’s yearning voice cries out “What if it’s not meant for me? Love.” The lyrics are humble, honest and profound, sharing the all-too-familar feeling of unrequited love with a beautifully crushing soundscape behind them.

Wolf Alice are set to release their epic second album on September 29. From the two singles so far we have no idea what to expect, but we are very very excited.
