Margaret Glaspy – ‘You and I’

Margaret Glaspy is a realist. She DGAF and it’s very apparent in her lyrics. “I don’t want to see you cry, but it feels like a matter of time.” And more direct – “You and I have been a mistake/ I let it linger too long.”

It’s refreshing and colourful and it’s even more apparent in the visual representation of the track, which is a techni-colour dream.

The Brooklyn singer/songwriter focuses on fiercely raw, guitar-driven pop songs and she has a whole catalogue of them coming out next week, when she drops her debut self-titled album Emotions and Mathout through ATO Records/[PIAS].
