Garbage have unleashed an incredibly unsettling video for their latest single ‘Magentized’ and we can’t peel our eyes away.
“We made the video for Magnetized at Pancake Mountain Headquarters in Los Angeles with an incredibly gifted team under the madcap direction of my next door neighbour Scott Stuckey. We wanted to create an ode to the magic of science and the mysteries of love,” explains frontwoman Shirley Manson.
“‘Magnetized’ is one of my favourite songs on the album – anytime you get to send 300,000 volts of electricity through an 8-year-old Shirley Manson doppelgänger and the real Shirley, then YES, sign me up!” says director Scott Stuckey. It’s eerie and creepy but that seems to be the flava of the screen rn.
Next month, the legendary alt-rockers hit Australia to perform a string of headline shows, including a series of a day on the green outdoor concerts. It’ll be the first opportunity for fans to hear all new music from Garbage’s latest record, Strange Little Birds, as wells an archive of mega-career-spanning hits. Melbourne is now sold out and Wollongong and Sydney show tickets are shifting quick. Don’t snooze.
