The driven track is chock full of blistering, mesmerising guitars that take turns ripping out tough riffs beneath hazy layers of mellow, delayed vocals. Thick with endless fuzz, the track feels like a hot, sweaty summer day spent fighting people for the best spot on the beach. It’s classic, fierce rock from the five women who’s been bursting eardrums for the past decade.
While the soundscape is full, ‘Void’ is about something missing, an absence. Luckily for us, Beaches will be rectifying their own absence with the release of their double album Second Of Spring this September. Summer sounds can’t come soon enough!
