After five hugely-celebrated albums, Melbourne rock legends British India have confirmed they will release their sixth studio record this September and tour it extensively!
Forgetting The Future will be released September 22 and for the first time in a decade-long career, British India have teamed up with an acclaimed producer, Oscar Dawson (of Holy Holy) and the result is pure raw power and the band’s most ambitious record to date.
“We were tapping into the same ferocity you feel when you first start writing songs,” vocalist Declan Melia says. “Just going for it, getting songs out without overthinking them, fast and hard. The way I see it, the sound is futuristic but it’s still raw.” The album will feature their most recent track ‘Precious’ an avalanche of dirty bass and distorted guitars, which now has a stirring video of smoke, colour and flames to accompany.
Doing what they do best – British India will throw an exclusive preview show August 16, before touring extensively – hitting up cities all over the country for three months, kicking things into gear this September. Tickets on sale Thursday, 3 August from 9am.
