Adelaide champions, Bad//Dreems, have unleashed a corker of a new tune, lifted from their just announced sophomore record Gutful, slated for release Friday, 21 April.
‘Feeling Remains‘ is drenched in guitar and grit and washed with the vivid and visceral vocals of Ben Marwe. The newest single provides comfort that Baddies are back, as sharp as ever.
“It’s a song about the eternal battle with melancholy faced by so many,” explains guitarist Alex Cameron. “Sometimes no matter how hard you try, the darkness just won’t dissipate. The feeling still remains. It’s always there nipping at your heels. You just gotta keep on stepping on so it can’t get a firm grip.”
Working again with the production team of Mark Opitz (INXS, the Angels, Cold Chisel etc) and Colin Wynne at their West Brunswick studio over the latter half of 2016, Gutful is 11 anthems of controlled mayhem capturing the fear and frustration of modern Australia.
Had a gutful of speed and coke
Had a gutful of your racist jokes
Had a gutful of Australia Day
Had a gutful of the USA
The accompanying video is a supreme tribute to the iconic ’90s youth music program Recovery – a ridiculously good throwback featuring Dylan Lewis. Very serious vibes for Gutful to be unleashed.
